File Requirement Checker
Is your photo or PDF ready for an online application? Enter the requirements from the form and check your file before submitting it. Checks run in your browser; this tool does not upload your file.
How to check your file
- Read the upload requirements on the application website.
- Select the file you plan to submit.
- Enter the maximum size in KB and any required pixel dimensions.
- Set the accepted extensions, such as jpg, png, pdf.
- Review each result and use an editing tool if needed.
What this checker can and cannot verify
It compares the file’s actual byte size against your KB limit, checks its filename extension and reads pixel dimensions for browser-supported images. It cannot verify whether a passport photo meets official biometric requirements, whether a document’s contents are correct, or whether a website will accept your file. An extension is not proof of the file’s internal format. For PDF documents, width and height in pixels are not applicable.

Frequently asked questions
Does the checker upload my file?
No. File inspection happens locally in your browser.
Is 500 KB the same as 500,000 bytes?
This checker uses 1 KB = 1,024 bytes. Some upload services calculate limits differently, so leave a small margin when possible.
Can it change my file automatically?
No. It reports whether the file meets the requirements you enter and links to tools that can help you edit it.
Why are image dimensions unavailable?
The file may be a PDF or an image format that your browser cannot decode.
